Nonprofit Communications

raising visibility, building audiences,
finding support

For a dozen years, Suzanne held senior positions in marketing, development, and digital content at Poets House, a nonprofit literary center and poetry library in New York City. During her tenure, she wrote program calendars, web pages, blog posts, outreach emails, fundraising letters, press releases, brochures, fact sheets, grants, and more.

One of Suzanne’s favorite projects was overseeing written content for Chapbooks of the Mimeo Revolution, a project featuring rare chapbooks digitized to appear on the Poets House website, alongside related commentary. She edited essays by scholars, composed introductory web pages, wrote essays for select chapbooks (including the one excerpted below), and drafted social media and marketing emails to promote the project.
